Plain-language summary: TradeDash orders may be delivered by the Supplier, delivered by a TradeDash delivery provider, or collected by the Customer. Available options, fees, preparation times, and delivery estimates are shown before checkout whenever possible. Estimates are not guarantees and may change because of inventory, traffic, weather, site access, product size, safety, or other circumstances.

1. Scope

This Shipping Policy applies to orders placed through the TradeDash website, mobile applications, and related services operated by TradeDash Inc., operating as TradeDash (“TradeDash,” “we,” “us,” or “our).

This Policy explains how construction materials and related products may be prepared, delivered, collected, tracked, and reported through TradeDash.

This Policy should be read together with the TradeDash Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Returns and Refund Policy, and any Supplier-specific or order-specific terms displayed at checkout.

2. Fulfilment Methods

Available fulfilment methods depend on the Supplier, product, customer location, order size, delivery capacity, business hours, and other operational factors.

Supplier Delivery

The Supplier prepares and delivers the order using its own drivers and vehicles.

TradeDash Delivery

A TradeDash delivery provider collects the prepared order from the Supplier and delivers it to the Customer.

Customer Pickup

The Customer or an authorized person collects the completed order from the Supplier’s location.

A Supplier may offer one or more fulfilment methods. Not every method will be available for every product or order.

3. Delivery Availability and Service Areas

Delivery availability may be determined using the Supplier’s location, the delivery address, postal code, distance, delivery radius, product type, order dimensions, weight, vehicle requirements, scheduling capacity, and site restrictions.

Entering an address or postal code does not guarantee that delivery is available. Final availability is confirmed during checkout or after the order has been reviewed.

TradeDash may decline, limit, or modify a delivery option where the order cannot be transported safely, legally, or reasonably.

4. Delivery Fees and Other Charges

Delivery charges may vary based on factors such as:

  • distance between the Supplier and delivery location;
  • order size, weight, quantity, or dimensions;
  • vehicle, trailer, lifting, or special-equipment requirements;
  • delivery urgency or requested time window;
  • multiple Supplier locations or multiple delivery stops;
  • tolls, remote-area service, ferry charges, or restricted access;
  • waiting time, redelivery, or failed-delivery costs;
  • Supplier-set delivery fees where Supplier Delivery is selected; and
  • applicable taxes and government-imposed charges.

The delivery charge presented during checkout will normally be based on the information available at that time. An additional charge will not be added without notice where the order changes or previously undisclosed circumstances materially affect the delivery.

Product prices and delivery charges are separate unless the checkout page expressly states that delivery is included.

5. Preparation and Delivery Estimates

Preparation times, pickup windows, estimated arrival times, and delivery dates are estimates unless TradeDash expressly states otherwise in writing.

Estimates may change because of:

  • inventory confirmation or product substitutions;
  • Supplier preparation time;
  • traffic, road closures, weather, or emergencies;
  • driver or vehicle availability;
  • loading delays or unsafe loading conditions;
  • incorrect or incomplete address information;
  • job-site access or customer availability;
  • oversized, heavy, fragile, or regulated products; or
  • events outside the reasonable control of TradeDash or the Supplier.

We will make reasonable efforts to provide updates when a material delay becomes known.

6. Order Confirmation and Preparation

An order is not ready for delivery or pickup until the Supplier has confirmed the order and marked it ready through TradeDash.

Suppliers are responsible for confirming inventory, preparing the correct materials, packaging or securing products appropriately, and reporting shortages or substitutions before handoff.

Customers should not travel to the Supplier or arrange labour, machinery, or job-site access solely based on the initial order confirmation. Wait until TradeDash confirms that the order is ready or provides a confirmed delivery update.

7. Supplier Delivery

When Supplier Delivery is selected, the Supplier is responsible for dispatching, transporting, and delivering the order using its own personnel, contractors, vehicles, and equipment.

The Supplier is expected to:

  • deliver within the accepted delivery window;
  • keep order status reasonably current;
  • use suitable and lawfully operated vehicles;
  • secure materials for transport;
  • follow applicable safety and site rules;
  • contact the Customer when access or delivery problems arise; and
  • obtain proof of delivery where required.

Supplier Delivery fees, service areas, timing, unloading services, and other conditions may be set by the Supplier and displayed during checkout.

8. TradeDash Delivery

When TradeDash Delivery is selected, the Supplier must prepare the order and release it to the delivery provider assigned by TradeDash.

TradeDash will coordinate pickup and transportation based on available drivers, vehicles, routes, product requirements, and customer instructions.

TradeDash Delivery does not automatically include:

  • installation or assembly;
  • placement inside a building;
  • craning, hoisting, or rooftop delivery;
  • forklift or boom-truck service;
  • removal of packaging or old materials;
  • carrying materials over unsafe terrain or stairs; or
  • extended unloading labour.

Any additional service must be expressly offered and included in the order.

9. Customer Pickup

Customers selecting pickup must wait until the order is marked ready before attending the Supplier’s location.

The Customer or authorized pickup person may be required to provide:

  • the order number;
  • government-issued identification;
  • a pickup code or confirmation message;
  • the name of the account holder; and
  • proof of authorization where collecting for another person or business.

The Customer is responsible for bringing a suitable vehicle, trailer, tie-downs, coverings, and any equipment required to transport the order safely unless the Supplier expressly agrees to provide them.

A Supplier may refuse to load or release materials where the vehicle, equipment, restraint method, or proposed transportation appears unsafe or unlawful.

10. Delivery Location and Site Access

Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address, contact number, site contact, access instructions, and any known restrictions.

The delivery location must be reasonably safe and accessible for the assigned vehicle. Customers must disclose conditions such as:

  • narrow roads, alleys, gates, low clearances, or weight restrictions;
  • construction zones, mud, snow, ice, steep grades, or soft ground;
  • limited turning space or unavailable parking;
  • condominium, commercial, security, or loading-dock requirements;
  • permits, appointments, escorts, or access codes;
  • stairs, elevators, or interior placement requests; and
  • animals, hazards, or other safety concerns.

The driver may stop, relocate, postpone, or refuse the delivery where access is unsafe, unlawful, likely to damage property, or inconsistent with the ordered service.

11. Oversized, Heavy, Fragile, and Special-Handling Products

Certain materials may require a specific vehicle, additional personnel, lifting equipment, securement, permits, or delivery arrangements.

Products that may require special handling include, without limitation:

  • lumber, sheet goods, pipe, conduit, or long materials;
  • palletized concrete, masonry, roofing, or landscaping products;
  • large tools, equipment, tanks, fixtures, or appliances;
  • glass, tile, stone, or other fragile products;
  • paint, chemicals, fuels, batteries, or regulated goods; and
  • products exceeding ordinary vehicle or manual-handling limits.

TradeDash or the Supplier may contact the Customer before acceptance or dispatch to confirm delivery requirements and revise the service, schedule, or charge where necessary.

12. Changes, Substitutions, and Split Orders

Changes to products, quantities, delivery addresses, fulfilment methods, or time windows may affect pricing, availability, and delivery estimates.

An order may be divided into multiple pickups or deliveries where products come from different Suppliers, locations, or inventory sources. Any known split-order details and related charges will be shown or communicated where reasonably possible.

Product substitutions require customer approval where the substitute differs materially in brand, size, grade, quantity, colour, specification, or price.

13. Delays and Rescheduling

TradeDash and Suppliers will make reasonable efforts to complete orders within the communicated timeframe, but delays may occur.

When a delay is significant, the Customer may be offered a revised delivery time, alternate fulfilment option, partial fulfilment, substitution, rescheduling, or cancellation, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

Nothing in this Policy limits a consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.

14. Failed Delivery, Waiting Time, and Redelivery

A delivery may be considered unsuccessful where:

  • no authorized recipient is available when required;
  • the address or contact information is incorrect;
  • the driver cannot safely or legally access the location;
  • required access codes, permits, appointments, or site contacts are unavailable;
  • the Customer refuses the correct order without a valid reason;
  • the site is not ready to receive or unload the materials; or
  • waiting would create an unreasonable delay or safety concern.

Where permitted, the Customer may be charged reasonable waiting, return-to-Supplier, storage, cancellation, or redelivery costs caused by information or circumstances within the Customer’s control. Any such charge will be explained before it is processed.

15. Inspection, Missing Items, and Damage

Customers should inspect the order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery or pickup.

Visible damage, incorrect products, missing quantities, or delivery issues should be reported promptly through TradeDash. Include the order number, description of the problem, and clear photographs where available.

Signing, entering a delivery code, or accepting the order may confirm receipt, but does not remove rights relating to hidden defects, incorrect products, warranties, or other rights that cannot legally be waived.

Safety first: Do not use, install, alter, or dispose of an item that appears unsafe, damaged, incorrect, contaminated, or unsuitable for its intended purpose before contacting TradeDash or the Supplier.

16. Risk of Loss and Ownership

Risk of loss or damage may depend on the selected fulfilment method, the Supplier’s terms, the nature of the product, and applicable law.

As a general operational rule:

  • for Supplier Delivery, the Supplier remains responsible for the order until completed delivery;
  • for TradeDash Delivery, responsibility is transferred in accordance with the applicable Supplier and TradeDash terms when the order is released and delivered; and
  • for Customer Pickup, responsibility generally transfers when the order is released to the Customer or authorized pickup person.

These operational rules do not override mandatory consumer, sale-of-goods, warranty, or other legal rights.

17. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations

Product returns, refunds, and cancellations are governed by the TradeDash Returns and Refund Policy, the Supplier’s disclosed return conditions, and applicable law.

Original delivery fees may be non-refundable after a delivery attempt or completed service unless the refund results from an error by TradeDash, the Supplier, or the delivery provider, or where applicable law requires otherwise.

Return pickup or transportation may require an additional fee, particularly for oversized, heavy, palletized, or special- handling products.

18. Restricted Products and Locations

TradeDash may restrict or refuse orders involving products or destinations that cannot be handled safely, lawfully, or within available insurance and operational requirements.

Restrictions may apply to:

  • dangerous goods, hazardous materials, fuels, or regulated chemicals;
  • products requiring licences, permits, certifications, or age verification;
  • loads exceeding vehicle, axle, size, or weight limits;
  • remote, inaccessible, unsafe, or prohibited delivery locations;
  • cross-border or interprovincial transportation; and
  • locations or uses that violate law, Supplier policy, or TradeDash terms.

19. Tracking and Delivery Communications

TradeDash may provide order-status notifications, estimated arrival times, driver details, delivery updates, and live or recent location information during an active delivery.

Tracking information is approximate and may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable because of device, network, mapping, privacy, or technical limitations.

Customers are responsible for monitoring the contact methods associated with their account and responding to order-related calls, messages, or notifications when necessary.

20. Changes to This Shipping Policy

We may update this Shipping Policy to reflect changes in our services, fulfilment methods, delivery network, fees, technology, business practices, or legal requirements.

The revised Policy will be posted with an updated effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the TradeDash platform or by email where appropriate.
